席慕容的《一棵开花的树》，这大概是崇尚浪漫主义的人都喜欢的一首诗歌，我也不例外。

大学时，经常在夜深人静的时候用随身听欣赏配乐朗诵的英文版。黑夜里，听着缥缈灵性的音乐，听着一个男子温柔磁性的声音一遍遍地吟诵这淡淡哀伤的唯美诗篇，心中不可抑制地溢满了对浪漫爱情的向往、期待，和不可名状的失落及凄美。

常常，想象着某一天，能在一棵开满花朵的树下邂逅神采飞扬的俊朗男子，即使他视而不见地与我擦身而过，心里也会涌起如诗歌一般的淡淡惆怅和欢喜。

常常，在这样美丽安静的音乐中睡去。

在我最美丽的时刻
为这我已在佛前求了五百年
求佛让我们结一段尘缘

佛于是把我化作一棵树
长在你必经的路旁
阳光下慎重的开满花朵
朵朵都是我前世的期盼

当你走近 请你细听
那颤抖的叶是我等待的热情
而当你终于无视的走过
在你身后落了一地的
朋友啊 那不是花瓣
是我凋零的心

A Blooming Tree

 

What could make thou meet me
At the prime of my beauty
For this I’ve been praying before the Buddha
For five centuries
May this worldly affinity be true

So the Buddha turned me into a tree
Growing in the path of thy way
Carefully, fully blooming the tree
And in the sun
Every flower is my earnest prayer of yesterday

When thou art stepping closely
Please listen respectfully
That trembling foliage is the zeal of my waiting
At length thou art passing by without hearing
Oh, my love
They are not petals
But all my withering heart
Paving the earth
At the back of thee
